Brazilian Red Ear Slider

Brazilian red slider or well known with name brazilian slider or red ear slider was native from brazil. Like they named it, this slider has some red colour (actually it’s more to orange then red) on the rigth and left side of his head. Altough it doesnt have ear, they named so because those red mark took place on the place were ear should located. This slider habitat is on the river banks. They were omnivora in early year, and become herbivora when they grow older

This last few years in Indonesia the slider were famous in the market as one of the friendly pet. In some big cities in Indonesia, this slider are widely sale. With variety prices depend on the size. Usually they sold a couple month age with price between Rp. 12500,- to 25000,-.

When this slider have their sleep, one of it’s front feet stuck out and it take the other front feet inside the carrapass, as if it’s wants to hold on to something while they sailed the dream land. There’s a thin layer beneath the turtle’s eyelid, it’s transparent white. We can see on turtle first blinking in the morning and also it became a sign if the white layers keep covering turtle eyes for sometimes, it can indicate the turtle is ill.

This red ear, very rare in produce voice, probably in it’s very sick condition they carried out. The voice that produce almost alike bird voice, maybe because of it’s mouth that has the same type as the bird mouth.
